They say that what goes up must come down. And the twelfth world’s largest thing in Casey, Illinois, definitely goes up. And down. And up and down. And up and down. It’s the world’s largest teeter totter.
At 82 feet long this isn’t your average playground seesaw.

While it might look more like a bridge than a toy, Casey’s giant seesaw actually does work! But, for safety, a side rail is attached and it’s kept locked in place most days. When someone is around to unlock it and supervise (sometimes on Saturdays), visitors can walk across the top and feel it move beneath their feet.
The world’s largest teeter totter was created by Jim Bolin and was officially certified as “world’s largest” by Guinness World Records on September 28, 2019. Five other big things were also added to Casey’s impressive list of Illinois roadside attractions that day including the World’s Largest Key, World’s Largest Gavel, World’s Largest Barbershop Pole, World’s Largest Golf Driver, and World’s Largest Swizzle Spoon.
Swing on by and slide on in to Casey and make it your giant playground.
