If you’re traveling Route 66 be sure to MOO-ve over and stop at this roadside attraction: the Cow in the Corn Sculpture in Lincoln, Illinois.

This abstract sculpture was created by local Lincoln artist Moses Pinkerton and was built at the Hoffman School of Sculpture. It was erected in 2014.

The 22-foot by 25-foot piece resembles a cow’s face flanked by two stalks of corn. The nostrils form two sixes, making a perfect homage to Route 66.

When you’re planning your road trip itinerary, be sure to STEER your car in the direction of the Cow in the Corn Sculpture. Located at Busby-Turner Park on the 100 block of South Sangamon Street in downtown Lincoln, Illinois.

While in the area, also look for two other Lincoln roadside attractions: the Abraham Lincoln Watermelon and the Giant Lincoln on the World’s Largest Covered Wagon.
