The Historic Seligman Sundries is housed in one of the oldest buildings in Seligman, built in 1904. The building originally was home to Pioneer Hall Theatre, a theater and dance hall that hosted dances, plays, and school events. In 1930, it was converted to a drug store and fountain soda shop, and was home to Dancehall Ted’s Fountain “Famous for Malts.”

Outside you’ll find some fun Route 66 photo ops, like an airplane lodged into the roof (with an attached sign that declares “Airplane Rides $5), a 1986 Pontiac Piero painted in red white and blue and dubbed “Route 66 Patriot,” and an old-fashioned police car.

Proprietors Frank and Lynn Kocevar spent years taking the once abandoned building and building it back up to the renovated business you can now find. In 2014, longtime visitors Thomas Muetzel and Ursula “Uschi” Fuchs took over the business.
