In the top right corner, the mural greets visitors with the words “Welcome to Shamrock,” with the word “to” cleverly placed inside a green shamrock. It also celebrates the town as the “Crossroads of America,” featuring both the phrase and a map marking the intersection of Route 66 (and I-40) and U.S. Highway 83.
The mural honors Bill Mack, a Shamrock native and beloved radio DJ known as “The Midnight Cowboy,” and features colorful depictions of local landmarks like the Shamrock Water Tower, the Conoco Tower Station and U-Drop Inn Café, the Rock Island Train and Depot, the Magnolia Gas Station, and Aubrey’s Dairy Freeze.

While in Shamrock be sure to visit some of the other fun sites in town, the Blarney Stone Plaza, the Fake Blarney Stone, Magnolia Gas Station, the The Conoco Tower Station and U-Drop Inn Café, and the more postcard-style Shamrock, Texas Mural.
