As you drive Route 66 through Luther, Oklahoma, keep your eyes peeled for a bright splash of retro flair: the towering, 30-foot-tall Visit Luther sign. With its bold orange glow and vintage Vegas-style marquee, it’s impossible to miss. This roadside beacon practically begs you to pull over, snap a photo, and follow the arrow into town to see what Luther is all about.

The neon sign, designed by Cameron Eagle of Ink Ranch Inc. and built by G&S Signs Inc., is a nostalgic nod to midcentury Americana. Its geometric design lights up with glowing stars and the message “Visit Luther Oklahoma,” while a giant arrow shoots through the center, pointing the way south to Luther’s Main Street. Just off the Mother Road, you’ll find restaurants, shops, and outdoor spaces to stretch your legs and enjoy a small-town slice of Route 66 life.

The sign stands proudly on the original alignment of Route 66, thanks to a $77,000 Oklahoma Route 66 Project grant awarded by the Oklahoma Route 66 Commission. The land it sits on was generously donated by Mark and Teri Stroud of Couch Pecan Orchard / Orchard on 66.
