The Greetings From Austin mural in Austin, Texas, is like a giant postcard welcoming you to the city. While colorful street art abounds in the vibrant Texan city, this picture postcard is one of the most iconic murals in Austin.
The iconic mural was painted in 1998 by Todd Sanders along with his friend Rory Skagen. Sanders owns Roadhouse Relics, the neon sign studio and gallery and the business on which the mural is painted.

Enjoy fun games and challenges to pass the time on your next road trip and have a keepsake to look back on for years to come with this entertaining must-have for your next vacation.
In November 2013, the weather-faded painting was restored to it’s full color glory using $10,000 in contributions donated by the community.
The mural was inspired by vintage 1940s postcards and depicts some of the city’s top landmarks and local imagery such as The University of Texas Tower, Congress Avenue Bridge, the Texas State Capitol, Barton Springs, and the Texas flag.
The South Austin tourist attraction is located on the corner of South First & Annie St., not too far from the popular South Congress Ave (note that while the address is on 1st Street, you’ll have to pull around the corner onto Annie St. to see the mural and take pictures). It’s a popular spot for visitors to grab some cool photos and post some Instagram-worthy stories with friends: so on busy weekends you might have to wait in line.
There are many “Greetings From” postcard murals scattered around the United States (you can find a similar Greetings From Chicago mural in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood) but maybe none are so popular as this Greetings From Austin postcard mural.
