The Bristow Train Depot retains much of its historic charm. It is a one-story brick building with original wood floors from 1923 and vintage ticket counters, desks, equipment, and other railroad items.

Inside the train depot, you can now find a community museum. Explore the museum to find information about the town’s history and the people who shaped it. Find information on early Indian Territory, railroad history, early oil discovery, and Route 66. Community volunteers man the museum and love sharing the history with visitors.

Outside the depot, an Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway caboose is on display. Originally built in 1929, it was rebuilt in 1969 and is painted to reflect the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway (the “Frisco”). Also, find one of the only two remaining FRISCO water towers in the nation.

Take a walk around the property to find some fun murals, Route 66 signs, and sitting areas. Maybe even watch a train drive by! Be sure to visit this Oklahoma Route 66 attraction on your road trip between Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
