OK, so have you ever played one of those claw games? You know what I’m talking about, there is a tank full of plush toys and you insert a quarter or two and you maneuver a claw to try to pick one up and inevitably it will grab the stuffed bear by the snout but fail to pull it up from beneath the pile of ducks and dogs and moose? Yeah, you know those games. I’m sure.

Well, Mallie’s Sports Bar & Grill in Southgate, Michigan, had a similar tank that I was absolutely 100% enamored with. They had a claw machine…as a LOBSTER TANK. A. LOBSTER. TANK. For a mere two dollars you could give a hand at The Lobster Zone — Mallie’s Famous Lobster Tank. The machine works just like those childhood arcade staples. But instead of plush animals this one has real lobsters. You put in your money and maneuver a claw to try to dig out a live lobster. If you manage to catch a lobster, it’s yours! Mallie’s will cook it up for you. How awesome is that?
