I’m not going to lie: s’mores are my favorite camping treat. There’s nothing quite like sitting around a fire and topping a crispy graham cracker with a melty piece of chocolate and an oozing burnt marshmallow. If you’re not going camping on your next road trip but still are craving that campfire treat, I have the road trip recipe for you: s’mores snack mix. This smores in a bag is an easy road trip snack to make, and is quite delicious too!

This s'mores snack mix recipe takes all the components of that camping staple we all know and love and puts it into an easy-to-eat-on-the-go package with teddy grahams, chocolate chips, marshmallows, and smoked sugar.

So what’s in it? This s’more trail mix recipe starts with the graham crackers or, in this case, mini graham cookies in the form of Teddy Grahams or Bunny Grahams or whatever mini graham animal or non animal is available to you. Next marshmallows, a heaping cup of mini marshmallows. And then, of course, chocolate chips.

Those three ingredients are all you need to make this campfire s’mores trail mix recipe to pack on your next road trip. But, I have another secret ingredient.

We all know that the best part of a s’more is that fire-roasted marshmallow that gives the whole dessert that little extra oomph. My secret to this s’mores trail mix is adding a bit of smoked sugar. Yes, smoked sugar.

Smoked sugar will give the whole bag of marshmallow, graham cracker, and chocolate snack mix that little extra campfire taste. It’s a little bit of a specialty item, so if you can’t find it, no worries, it’s still an easy, tasty road snack recipe. But if you can, it will take your treat to a whole new level.

With just five minutes and three to four ingredients, this s’more snack mix recipe will satisfy any sweet tooth craving you have. Whether you’re camping, road tripping, or vacationing in your backyard, this mix is max on flavor and will have everyone asking for some more (just don’t leave this in a road trip snack box in a hot car – this is one s’more best served unmelted).
